Dianne S. Bugash is a native Washingtonian who comes from a family of artists. She studied at the Corcoran School of Art and on scholarship at The American University.

Bugash is an active member of the Arts Community. For five years, she was a Docent for the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. In this capacity, Bugash developed her interest and skills in serving as an arts advocate to the general community and began lecturing various interest groups on the creative process. She also participated in the outreach program to public schools in Montgomery County, MD. In 1994, Dianne researched and designed a “Doodling Towards Art” workshop for adult non-artists and continues to promote involvement in the arts. She has been awarded residencies at Rockville Arts Place and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She served as assistant, for 3 years, to Hilda Thorpe, a well known D.C. area artist. She has been on the faculty of the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and is now teaching at the Montgomery College, School of Art and Design. She is also a member of the Golden Acrylics Working Artists Program, for which she gives lectures and workshops on how to use acrylics.

Dianne is a painter with a focus on symbolism, color and story making. Her artistic endeavors have, most recently, carried her to experimentation with photographic stories, and earlier, sculpture from found objects as well as paper sculpture. She has exhibited widely-nationally and in the Washington, D.C. area. She is in public and private collections and is now represented by Light Street Gallery in Baltimore, MD.
